Autumun School 2025

The DarChemDN Autumn School is a multi-day in-person conference held in the Greater Munich Area (Germany) from October 13 – 17 2025 on Chemistry and Darwinian Evolution. The event brings together experts, leading researchers, early-career scientists in the fields of systems chemistry, synthetic biology, and the origins of life. 

Organised by the DarChemDN partners (Prof. Eörs Szathmary and Prof. Sijbren Otto), the school provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary learning, exchange of ideas, and networking through lectures, discussions, and social activities in a collaborative setting. Participants benefit from direct interactions with prominent international experts and peers, fostering scientific inspiration and potential research collaborations.

Dates: The Autumn School will take place from October 13 (arrival in the evening) – October 17, 12:00, 2025. 

Location: The event will be held at Hotel Seeblick (Greater Munich Area, Germany).

The event is open to external participants. Registration for external participants is required via the registration form, and a fee will be charged for external participation.

The event will take place at Hotel Seeblick in the scenic town of Bernried, nestled on the shores of Lake Starnberg in the greater Munich area. Conveniently accessible from Munich International Airport (MUC), which offers excellent international connections, Bernried can be reached by train via Munich Central Station in approximately 45 minutes. All sessions, accommodation, and catering will be hosted at the Hotel Seeblick, providing participants with a comfortable environment for learning and networking.
