The DarChemDN consortium held its third Training Workshop on 11–12 May 2026 at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. The two-day event brought together doctoral candidates, researchers and consortium representatives for scientific exchange, transferable skills training and networking
The first day was dedicated to doctoral candidate presentations, giving participants the opportunity to share their latest research in Darwinian chemistry and discuss ongoing work across the network. The programme also included a Management Board meeting and a consortium dinner, supporting both project coordination and informal exchange.
On the second day, participants took part in sessions on gender equality, EU funding and grant writing, open science, open access and publications. The workshop concluded with a science communication session led by accelCH, focusing on how to communicate complex scientific topics to wider audiences and to plan the DC-lead outreach activities for the second half of the project.
By combining research presentations with practical training, the workshop strengthened collaboration across the DarChemDN network and supported the professional and transferable skills development of DCs.
Of course, the event also included a visit to the wildlife parc located close to the university.
