DarChemDN holds Darwinian Chemistry Autumn School

The DarChem Autumn School was held from 13-17 October 2025 in the Greater Munich area and hosted by the Parmenides Foundation (PARM). The event brought together PhD students and leading researchers for an intensive week dedicated to Darwinian chemistry. The programme covered a broad range of topics, including de novo synthesis of life, prebiotic chemistry, autocatalytic reaction networks, synthetic cells, coacervates, microfluidics, and out-of-equilibrium systems.

This time, we gathered in a beautiful hotel next to the lake, not only for science but also for connection.

Through lectures, poster sessions, and extended free discussions, participants explored both theoretical foundations and experimental challenges, while engaging in open and interdisciplinary exchange. Beyond the scientific programme, the Autumn School strengthened connections across the DarChem network and provided valuable space for discussion and learning.

Metabolism is crucial for all living creatures, PIs and phds are no exemption. Good food always can bring people together.
